OUR HUNT SEASONS
Subject to WV seaon regulations, we offer hunts from early September through late April.
UPLAND BIRDS: Fall and Winter. DOVE: Early September.x
WHITETAIL DEER: Fall and Winter. TURKEY: April (possibly into May)
SAFETY & LICENSING
Safety is a top priority. Safety rules are posted, reviewed, and stressed with verbal reminders prior to all activities. Blaze orange required while hunting upland birds and deer. All hunters must possess a valid WV game license (hunting and/or fishing) and abide by all regulations set by the WV DNR.
Out of state hunters may obtain a Class J Preserve License for small game. A Big Game license is required for deer and turkey. For more about WV hunting and fishing regulations or to purchase a WV license > CLICK HERE.

HABITAT, STOCKING WILDLIFE
Our hunting habitat is well managed and consists of various cover and food sources, including grasses, thickets, grain fields, fence rows, and timber ridges. At Butler Farms, we stock only the finest quality game birds.
.OUR UPLAND BIRD HUNTS.
Hunt times: Morning hunt - 8 am to noon. Afternoon hunt - 1 pm to 5 pm. All day hunt - 8 am to 5 pm.
Hunt Packages - for up to 4 hunters
* Field Fee: $25 per field for each hunt party.
* Release Fee: $20 per Pheasant, $15 per Chukar, $10 per Quail.
* Includes bird cleaning
* Includes Buffet Lunch.
* Guide and dog available for $50 + gratuity per hunt. Your well-behaved dog is welcome.
.ANNUAL FALL DOVE HUNTS.
Hunt dates: Labor Day, plus one Saturday before or after Labor Day - depending on WV regulations.
Hunt time is afternoon only.
Package price includes buffet lunch. Bird cleaning NOT included.
Early reservations required. We only take bookings in very early January and sell out in a few days.
Following the 2 hunt dates above (for the remainder of WV's short dove season) we offer a special price of $25 per hunter for a full day of hunting on the farm. No meal, bird cleaning included.
